McDonald’s does not have an official secret menu, but fans have invented dozens of combinations using regular menu items. The trick is to order the ingredients by their real names, either at the counter or with the customize button in the app, and assemble them yourself if needed. Here are 12 secret menu hacks that actually work, and roughly what they cost at typical 2026 prices.
1. Poor Man’s Big Mac
Order a McDouble and ask to replace the ketchup and mustard with shredded lettuce and Big Mac sauce. You get most of the Big Mac flavor for about half the price of a Big Mac.
2. Land, Sea and Air Burger
Order a Big Mac, a Filet-O-Fish and a McChicken. Stack the fish fillet and chicken patty inside the Big Mac. It is enormous, and costs around $14 for all three.
3. McChicken McDouble Stack
Order a McDouble and a McChicken, then put the whole McChicken (bun removed) between the two beef patties. It is one of the most famous fan creations and costs under $6 with both items on the Under $3 menu.
4. Monster Mac
Ask for a Big Mac with extra beef patties. Each extra patty usually costs about a dollar, and some fans go up to eight.
5. Pie McFlurry
